Monkeys Created by Mascot Designer Han Meilin

On January 21, Kang Kang, the Mascot of the Year of the Monkey Sping Gala made its debut on microblog. It was created by Han Meilin, the designer of Beijing Olympics Mascots "Fuwa" and national first-class artist. This work of traditional Chinese painting is a lively representation of the smart animal. A set of monkey paintings previously created by Mr. Han were also presented to the public.
 

 
Han Meilin is a renowned artist in contemporary China, well versed in painting, calligraphy, sculpture, porcelain, design and writing. The mascots of Beijing Olympic Games and the logo of Air China are both his works.
 

 
Mr. Han is fond of animals. He has developed the habit of creating works themed on Chinese zodiac animals for several decades. The monkeys painted by him are all adorable and true to life.
