Seven works of traditional Chinese painting, 20 works of oil painting and 15 sculptures were put on display at the exhibition. Among them, there are both works themed on the history of revolution created since the founding of New China, such as the Founding of the People's Republic and Marching toward Northern Shaanxi, and master pieces made in recent years specially for the National Museum, such as Wise Men and Women of the Century and the Iron Wall of the Taihang Mountain. These works show the close bond between Chinese leaders and the people both during revolutionary years and after the People's Republic was founded and in the process toward national rejuvenation.
