Vice Chairman Fang Ning Met with
the Delegation of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering

On 22 June 2015, Vice Chairman Fang Ning of the COSC met with the delegation of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering headed by Prof. John Loughhead, Chief Scientific Advisor of the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and Fellow of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering.

Vice Chairman Fang Ning expressed welcome to the UK delegation to attend the Symposium on Air Quality Control to be held in Beijing on 23 June. He briefly reviewed the ongoing exchanges and cooperation between the COSC and the UK Royal Academy of Engineering and the British Embassy in China. Mr. Loughhead thanked the COSC for its hospitality extended to the UK delegation and tremendous efforts in preparing for the symposium and expressed hope for a productive symposium. The two sides exchanged views also on other topics of mutual interest.

Also present at the meeting were Counsellor of the State Council Shi Yinhong, Research Fellows of the COSC Xu Dingming and Qin Xiaoming, Director General Sun Weijia of the COSC Department of International Exchanges and Cooperation, Minister Andrew Key of the British Embassy in China and Ms. Samantha Frost, International Partnerships and Missions Manager, Royal Academy of Engineering.
