The Symposium on the Development, Guidance, and Future of China's New-Type Think Tanks held in Beijing

The Symposium on the Development, Guidance, and Future of China's New-Type Think Tanks, organized by the Center for Modern Green Economy Studies, was held in Beijing on 26 November. Participants at the symposium had in-depth exchanges and discussions on two topics: reform, innovation and international cooperation and exchanges of China's existing think-tanks; and the guidance and development of social think tanks.
More than 20 experts and academics participated in the symposium, including counsellors Liu Yanhua, Zhu Weijiu, Shi Yinhong and Wang Huiyao and research fellow Xu Dingming, Wei Jianguo, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, Huang Ping, Director of the Institute of European Studies, China Academy of Social Sciences, Xue Lan, Dean of the School of Public Administration, Tsinghua University, Ni Feng, Deputy Director of the Institute of American Studies, Director of the Graduate School of the China University of Political Science and Law, Fang Jin, Vice Secretary General of the China Development Research Foundation, Wang Lili, Deputy Director of National Academy of Development and Strategy, Renmin University of China, Wang Wen, Executive Director of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China, Dawei, Director of the Institute of American Studies, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations and Yu Jin,Diector of China Region Development & Reform Institute. Director General Zhang Yandong and Deputy Director General of the Counsellors' Affairs Department of the COSC also attended the meeting and joined the discussions.
