Lin Yifu

Lin Yifu, a native of Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, was born in October 1952. He is a renowned economist with no party affiliation. He is (vice-ministerial-level) Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Honorary Dean of the National School of Development at Peking University and Vice Chairman of the All-China General Chamber of Industry and Commerce (ACGCIC). He was formerly Director of the China Centre for Economic Research at Peking University and Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank. He is a member of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC National Committee and Vice Chairman of the Committee for Economic Affairs of the 12th CPPCC National Committee. He was engaged as a counsellor of the State Council in September 2013.
