Jiao Hongchang

Jiao Hongchang, a native of Beijing, was born in March 1961. He is the deputy director of the committee on public and legal affairs of Chinese Peasants' and Workers' Democratic Party, dean and professor of Law School of China University of Political Science and Law, vice chairman of Constitutional Law Research Committee of China Law Society, vice-chairman of the research committee of the Basic Laws of Hong Kong and Macau. He is a veteran scholar in constitutional law, human rights theories, and constitutionalism. He was engaged as a Counsellor of the State Council in July 2020.
