To thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, the Counsellors’ Office of the State Council (COSC) hosted a symposium on “Advancing Integrated Development of the Yangtze River Delta” in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, from September 26 to 28. The symposium was themed on “Strengthening the Conservation and High-Quality Development of Ancient Town Resources in the Yangtze River Delta”. Xu Chang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the COSC; Bian Zhaolun, Deputy Director-General of the General Office of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government; Cai Hua, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Counsellors’ Office of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government; Ding Pingjiao, Second-Level Inspector of the General Office of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government; and Wang Lan, Member of Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Counsellors’ Office of Anhui Provincial People’s Government, attended the event and delivered addresses. Hu Zucai, Wang Lifang, Yin Zhongli, and Li Zhuobin, Counsellors of the State Council, attended and delivered speeches. Government counsellors and special research fellows from the three provinces and one municipality in the Yangtze River Delta engaged in in-depth discussions on the theme of the symposium. The head of the Counsellor-Service Department of the COSC attended and presided over the symposium. Officials from the COSC, the counsellors’ offices of the three provinces and one municipality, and relevant departments of Jiangsu Province were also in attendance.
