To thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20^th CPC Central Committee and the National Education Conference, the Counsellors’ Office of the State Council (COSC) held a government counsellors’ symposium from October 8 to 10 in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The symposium was themed “Thoroughly Studying and Implementing the Guiding Principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20^th CPC Central Committee and Offering Policy Proposals to Contribute to the Building of a Leading Country in Education.” Xu Chang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the COSC, and Zhao Jun, Deputy Secretary‑General of the Hubei Provincial People’s Government and Chairman of the Counsellors’ Office of Hubei Provincial People’s Government, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks. Xue Lan and Wang Juncheng, both Counsellors of the State Council, participated in the panel discussions and delivered concluding speeches. Government counsellors and special research fellows from counsellors’ offices of 22 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government engaged in panel discussions on three topics: higher education, basic education, and vocational education. A relevant official of the Counsellor-Service Department of the COSC attended and moderated the symposium.
