To thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and fully act on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on advancing the development of the Yangtze Economic Belt, the Counsellors’ Office of the State Council (COSC) hosted a symposium on “Advancing Green and High-Quality Development of the Yangtze Economic Belt” in Nanchang from November 11 to 13, with the Counsellors’ Office of the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government serving as the organizer. Xu Chang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the COSC, and Qin Yi, Member of Party Leadership Group of the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government, attended the event and delivered speeches. Yu Kangzhen and Xian Zude, Counsellors of the State Council, delivered keynote speeches, and He Xiurong, Counsellor of the State Council, participated in interactive exchanges. Government counsellors and special research fellows from the counsellors’ offices of the 11 provinces and municipalities along the Yangtze River as well as Qinghai Province, together with officials-in-charge from relevant departments, experts and scholars, conducted thematic discussions on “Jointly Pursuing High-Standard Environmental Protection of the Yangtze River and Advancing Green Development of the Yangtze Economic Belt” and “Accelerating Industrial Transformation and Upgrading to Advance Green and High-Quality Development of the Yangtze Economic Belt.” The leading official of the Counsellor-Service Department of the COSC attended and presided over the symposium.
