Recently, the Annual Report on High Quality Development of Yangtze Economic Belt (2020-2021), jointly compiled by the Yangtze River Economic Belt Development Research Center of the COSC and Academy of Macroeconomic Research, NDRC, was officially published and distributed.

The book brings together dozens of research findings by counsellors of the State Council and local governments along the Yangtze River, researchers and research fellows of institutes for culture and history, and experts from relevant research institutes, as well as typical cases of local governments in ecological and environmental protection and innovative development. With contents covering strengthening the protection and restoration of the ecological environment system of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, promoting the smooth flow of domestic circulation, building a new height for opening up, stepping up the upgrading of industrial base and modernization of industrial chains, and preserving, inheriting and promoting the Yangtze River culture, the book explores the specific objectives, paths and methods for the high quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and puts forward some ideas and opinions about the policies on promoting the high quality development of the belt, seeking to support scientific and democratic decision-making and promote the high quality development of the belt.
