When he said, “human nature may fall low temporarily during wars, but finally it will rise and that is the driving force for my creation”, the over 300 teachers and students gave him thunderous applause. In addressing students’ questions, Liang Xiaosheng encouraged the young to manage their own affairs well and be good young citizens and good children”. He encouraged the students to take a rational, objective and comprehensive view of the problems and challenges in the process of social progress. And he called on more cultural people and intellectuals to take on the mission of educating the people with culture, properly manage the limits of realistic creations and produce fine literary works.
